What is Soft Enamel ?
Soft enamel is a die struck pin with enamel fill. Enamel is a fancy name for paint. Once the paint is applied to the pin it is air dried which causes the paint to settle ever so slightly. Unlike hard enamel, the paint is recessed and the metal borders are raised creating a dimensional or 3D look. If you rubbed your thumb across the pin you would feel the metal borders. Why Choose Soft Enamel?
Soft enamel lapel pins are considered the least expensive pin but still provide a good quality pin. As a rough estimate, 70% of pins sold are probably soft enamel due to the lower cost yet good quality product you receive. Soft enamel pins are great for most pin needs and are very suitable for schools, nonprofit, promotional, tradeshows, trading pins, sports pins, etc. Generally, for corporate branding purposes, hard enamel is often a better route to take.
