Soft Enamel / Die Struck Lapel Pins

These lapel pins are similar to hard-enamel but the edges between the colors are not as smooth. The die is made similar to cloisonné. Soft enamel is used when cost is a factor or fine detail is not needed. Sometimes, an epoxy dome is added to the pin to prevent scratching. We begin by die striking your design into iron or copper. Then we plate to your specified color. Soft enamel pins are frequently used for sport pins, corporate pins and other types of lapel pins. Soft enamel/die struck pins have a sophisticated and elegant look. Each pin is struck from solid iron. The finish can be antique, sandblast, or soft enamel. Soft Enamel / Die Struck Pin Pricing
These pins are sometimes referred to as die cast or die struck. Soft enamel pins are less expensive because we are able to plate before applying enamel paints. Polishing time is also reduced. Therefore, our prices for these pins are lower than hard-enamel. We begin by die striking your design from either iron or copper. Soft enamel pins will have a slight recess in the paint-fill areas. Soft-enamel pins can also be made without paint. These pins are called die-struck.
